By: ‘Thomas Erdbrink’

Article states that more and more Iranian women are breaking away from the tradition bound society and trying to carve an independent niche for themselves. Article states that there are many women in the Iranian society who are navigating through the society as unmarried women and staying away from parents, but are in fact single women. They are used to such lies, otherwise there will be raised eyebrows. Further, to stop this increasing behind the door trend, government also tried to launch a program promoting cheap marriages, but it backfired. Many women are of the opinion that no, as the numbers are increasing, society has no option but to accept them, but they also hope that state will also follow.
